Adventurers in this universe are often Doll Hunters, brave or foolhardy souls who venture into haunted estates, cursed attics, and the Shadow Nursery itself to retrieve lost dolls, break curses, or destroy particularly dangerous specimens. They are aided by specialized tools—silver needles to pierce enchanted seams, lullabies sung in the old tongue to pacify aggressive spirits, and glass jars containing bottled moonlight to reveal hidden enchantments.
