What is the new Alpha movie?

Alpha is a 2018 American prehistoric adventure film directed by Albert Hughes and written by Daniele Sebastian Wiedenhaupt. The story follows a young hunter, played by Kodi Smit-McPhee, who befriends an injured wolf named Alpha during the last ice age. The wolf is played by Chuck, a Czechoslovakian Wolfdog, and the hunter's father is portrayed by Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson. Principal photography took place in Canada from February to April 2016, with the film experiencing multiple delays before its U.S. release in August 2018. It grossed over $99 million globally and received generally positive critical reception, particularly for its performances and cinematography.
