Is there a way to import my story mode character into gta online?

Grand Theft Auto Online is a separate online component of Grand Theft Auto V. While both games share the same open world and many assets, each has its own character system. In GTA V players create a single character for the story mode, whereas GTA Online allows players to create multiple online characters that are independent of the story mode. Rockstar Games has not released any feature or update that lets players transfer or import the story mode character into GTA Online, and the game’s design keeps the two experiences distinct. Therefore, players cannot use their GTA V story character in the online multiplayer mode.
