How many avatar movies are planned?

The only Avatar film that has been confirmed for production is Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender, an upcoming American animated fantasy film directed by Lauren Montgomery. It is based on a screenplay by Tim Hedrick and Christopher Yost, and follows the story of Team Avatar as they search for a surviving airbender and attempt to restore the Air Nomads. No other Avatar movies have been announced or confirmed in the available evidence, so at present there is only one planned Avatar film.
