Do gta v story mode endings affect online gameplay?

GTA Online and GTA V story mode are separate game modes with distinct progression systems. The three possible endings of the story mode (Michael dies, Trevor dies, or both survive) do not carry over to or affect GTA Online gameplay in any way. GTA Online exists as its own persistent world with separate characters, missions, and progression that is not tied to the choices made in the single-player campaign. Players can complete the story mode and then freely play GTA Online without any narrative consequences from their story mode decisions impacting their online experience.
