Do gta online missions feature the same characters as gta v?

Grand Theft Auto Online is the multiplayer component of Grand Theft Auto V. While the game shares the same open world of San Andreas and Los Santos, the missions in Online are designed for up to thirty players and are played with custom avatars that players create at the start of each session. The narrative missions of GTA V, which feature the protagonists Franklin, Michael, and Trevor, are separate from the online experience and are not part of the standard Online missions. Therefore, the characters that appear in GTA V's story missions do not appear in the missions available to players in GTA Online.
