Do gta online heists feature story mode characters?

Grand Theft Auto Online is an entirely separate multiplayer experience from the single‑player story of Grand Theft Auto V. In the online heists, players recruit other online players and complete missions together, using customisable avatars and various NPCs that are part of the online world. The story mode characters such as Michael, Franklin, and Trevor do not appear in these missions. Online heists are designed for cooperative play and rely on the shared online environment rather than the pre‑determined narrative characters from the story mode.
