Are the characters from gta v story mode playable in gta online?

GTA Online and GTA V story mode are separate game modes with different character systems. While GTA Online allows players to create and customize their own protagonist, the three main story mode characters - Michael, Franklin, and Trevor - cannot be played as in GTA Online. However, there have been crossover events where players could temporarily play as these characters in special missions or through character transfers. Additionally, some story mode vehicles and weapons are available in GTA Online, but the protagonists themselves remain non-playable in the online component.
