Eobard Thawne was born on Earth-2 under the name Thomas B. Thawne, but his life took a dark turn when he was sent back in time by Dr. Oscar Cobblepot to prevent himself from becoming a hero. After witnessing the destruction caused by the Flash's speed force, Thawne developed a hatred for time itself and the idea that only through immortality could he achieve true power. He eventually mastered reverse chronology, gaining the ability to move backward through time while others move forward.

As the Reverse-Flash, Thawne operates as a mercenary and assassin, targeting anyone connected to the Flash family. His most famous rivalry is with Barry Allen, the original Flash, whom he has hunted across multiple timelines.
