Luke Skywalker

Born to Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Amidala on the asteroid colony of Polis Massa, Luke Skywalker was hidden from the Emperor and his father by Obi-Wan Kenobi, who delivered him to the moisture farm of Owen and Beru Lars on Tatooine. Raised as a simple farmer's nephew with dreams of adventure beyond the binary suns, Luke's life changed dramatically when he purchased two droids carrying secret messages from a dying Jedi general. The arrival of Obi-Wan Kenobi revealed that Luke's father had been a Jedi Knight before his fall to the dark side, and that the boy's destiny was intertwined with the galaxy's fate.

His journey from Tatooine moisture farmer to galactic hero began when he joined Obi-Wan on a mission to deliver the Death Star plans to the Rebel Alliance. After witnessing the old Jedi's sacrifice at the hands of Darth Vader, Luke trained in the Force under the guidance of Master Yoda, mastering lightsaber combat and developing the mental discipline necessary for a Jedi's path. His skills grew rapidly, and his natural connection to the Force—particularly his ability to sense objects and beings across vast distances—suggested an extraordinary potential inherited from his father.

Luke's greatest triumph came not through martial victory but through compassion and understanding. When he faced Darth Vader aboard the second Death Star, he refused to strike down his father, instead appealing to the good that remained buried beneath Anakin Skywalker's dark armor. This act of mercy and faith ultimately redeemed Anakin and destroyed the Emperor, fulfilling an ancient Jedi prophecy and bringing balance to the Force after decades of darkness.

In his later years, Luke established a new Jedi Order, training a new generation of Force-sensitive individuals. Though his Order was destroyed by his former student Ben Solo, who fell to the dark side as Kylo Ren, Luke's legend inspired hope across the galaxy once more. In his final act, he projected his consciousness across the stars to face the First Order, buying time for the Resistance to escape while demonstrating that a legend's impact transcends physical existence. His ghost joined the pantheon of eternal Force spirits, watching over the galaxy he helped save.
