He builds a hidden laboratory beneath an abandoned subway station, where he perfects a device known as the Nullifier, capable of selectively erasing specific neural pathways.

When a shadowy organization learns of his work, they offer him a partnership: use the Nullifier to eliminate political dissidents in exchange for resources to expand his research. Torn between his scientific curiosity and his moral compass, Emory agrees, believing he can control the technology.

However, the Nullifier's power proves unpredictable, causing collateral damage and awakening latent psychic abilities within its users.
