Together, they developed Project Argent — a system of autonomous micro-drones capable of coordinated surveillance and, in its later iterations, targeted intervention. West's conscience began to stir when classified test runs revealed civilian casualties, and his unease deepened when Helix's leadership pivoted the project toward domestic applications under the banner of counterterrorism.

The breaking point came when West discovered that Helix was negotiating an unsanctioned deployment of Argent with a foreign intelligence service. Confronted with silence from internal oversight and threats from corporate security, West made the desperate choice to leak a trove of internal documents to a freelance journalist. Within hours, his world collapsed. Helix branded him a traitor, his credentials were revoked, and a specialized extraction team was dispatched to bring him back — alive if possible, silent if necessary.

Now on the run, West relies on the very skills that made him valuable: a photographic memory for schematics, an intuitive grasp of network security, and a small network of former colleagues willing to risk their careers to help him. Along the way, he encounters Maya Soriano, a former Department of Defense investigator who has her own reasons for wanting Helix exposed. Their uneasy alliance becomes the backbone of a cross-country effort to dismantle the firm's shadow operations piece by piece.

As the stakes escalate, West is forced to confront a harder question: can he bring down the system without becoming the very thing he opposes? In the climactic confrontation at a remote data center in Iceland, West must choose between uploading a kill-switch that will permanently disable Argent — a move that will also destroy years of his own work and leave him unemployable — or letting the technology fall into the hands of those who would wield it without conscience. The film closes on West walking away from the smoldering facility, stripped of his old identity, uncertain of his future, but finally free.
